Brown Quilt Vase

Sophia Levon is a visual artist born and raised in the Bay Area. She graduated from Sonoma State University in 2022 with a BFA in Printmaking and is currently based in Portland, Oregon.

Her work explores communication and interpersonal relationships. She uses the repetition of printmaking to play with multiple ways to interpret a single image, idea, or relationship. Personally building connections has always felt like a lock she didn't have the keys to, and through her work she seeks to more deeply understand the nature of social rules, gender roles, and personal identity. Her imagery is drawn from personal iconography, memories, and references from film photos she takes of friends, partners, and personally significant locations.
